Welcome to the Divorce Transition Professionals (DTP)
DTP was founded in 2017. Our primary Mission Statement that still holds true today is:
Making Divorce Just a Little Bit Easier™
We believe that this can be accomplished by bringing together amazing professionals all of whom have expertise in the divorce landscape and all of whom understand what it means to collaborate.
At each chapter meeting we bring you a top-notch speaker or program, providing on-going education, and an opportunity to network and collaborate with some of the best divorce professionals in your community. Our meetings are typically an hour. We respect that you are a busy professional and are sure to provide a compelling, productive meeting, the ultimate results of which will meet our goal of supporting folks as they go through divorce and in growing your business, concurrently.

Navigating the complexities and demands of a valuation project can be intimidating. We've built our practice to support the unique needs of small businesses and their advisors. Our methods are practical, and our approach is friendly. The process starts with a call or meeting where we discuss the valuation problem. From there, we establish a scope of work for the engagement, and when you are ready, you sign an engagement agreement. Matthew Long
I help people end their marriage in a peaceful and respectful manner. Through education, curiosity and respect, I create a safe space for people to address the legal, emotional and financial issues that arise when couples are facing a divorce. Through a pledge not to go to court, an honest exchange of information, and a careful examination of the choices available, I help people find solutions that take into account the highest priorities of both parties. By acknowledging their most important needs and providing the legal education they need, I allow clients to retain control of costs and outcomes.
I put to use my many years of family law courtroom experience to help people avoid the heartbreaking conflict, cost, and anxiety associated with traditional divorces. In addition to years of courtroom experience, I have been mediating divorces since 2000. I also have extensive experience working with collaborative divorce teams (lawyers, financial experts, and mental health professionals).
In 2021 I was certified as a life coach. Through the use of coaching approaches in mediation, I have been able to deepen my clients' experience and provide a wholistic approach to a challenging and multifaceted life event.
Although I am proud of the skill and experience I bring to help people end their marriages in a peaceful manner, I am also committed to helping people START their marriages well. I offer pre-marital coaching and education in the belief that starting a marriage off right, knowing so many of the pitfalls, and learning how to negotiate the difficult issues in a good way is the best way to avoid a divorce later in life!
I am committed to reducing the money, time and energy that is currently being wasted through the traditional divorce process - both by preventing more divorces and through peaceful methods of ending marriages.

Neil has been married to Stacie since 1987, has three beautiful children and lives and works in Westlake Village, California.
