DTP was founded in 2017. Our primary Mission Statement that still holds true today is:

We believe that this can be accomplished by bringing together amazing professionals all of whom have expertise in the divorce landscape and all of whom understand what it means to collaborate.
At each chapter meeting we bring you a top-notch speaker or program, providing on-going education, and an opportunity to network and collaborate with some of the best divorce professionals in your community. Our meetings are typically an hour. We respect that you are a busy professional and are sure to provide a compelling, productive meeting, the ultimate results of which will meet our goal of supporting folks as they go through divorce and in growing your business, concurrently.

Dialog on Family Law System Reform

Please join our interactive discussion with Jeff Jacobson and Jennifer Whitestone who are working to reform the Family Law Code to streamline the filing process for non-adversarial collaborative divorces.
By removing mandatory forms that take an automatic adversarial approach to one-process-fits-all divorce filings and replacing those forms with a new set of documents created specifically for non-litigated, collaborative divorces, the burdens of cost, emotion and stress which can often upset the delicate balance needed for successful collaborative outcomes are reduced.
This presentation and discussion will hopefully encourage more awareness and support among family law attorneys and mediators for Jeff and Jennifer’s important work, and lead to future official adoption of this new approach in California.
About our speakers:
Jeffery Jacobson, CFLS has been practicing family law since 1996 and is certified as a Specialist in Family Law by The State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. His family law practice focuses exclusively on consensual dispute resolution, including mediation, collaborative divorce and non-litigation consulting. Los Angeles Magazine recognized him as a Super Lawyer for 2011 – 2023 and a Super Lawyers Rising Star for 2005 – 2010. Jeffery received a Eureka Award in 2019 from Collaborative Practice California, in recognition of his contributions to the field of collaborative divorce in the state of California. Jeffery co-authored Los Angeles County Local Rule 5.26, the most comprehensive collaborative practice rule in the state of California.
Jennifer Winestone, Esq. LL.M. is an experienced family law mediator, providing unique strategies and extraordinary results to complex family matters related to separation and divorce for families across Los Angeles, Ventura County and Orange County.
