About Divorce Transition Professionals (DTP)

Why 2.0? Well, after 10 years it is time for a change. A change in location, a change in format and a change in the design. So, we're bringing in a top-notch speaker, holding it in a top-notch location, providing all of the networking and business opportunity you could ask for with some of the best professionals in the community that specialize in working with people dealing with divorce. While this particular meeting may not have all of the following, we expect to provide continuing education, networking, study groups, break-out sessions, case consultations and more......

This event is completely free to all FIRST TIME attendees. It is an opportunity to find out what the Divorce Transition Professionals is all about, what it is about to become and how becoming a member will benefit you. So, if you are a professional in the divorce field i.e. Attorney, Accountant, Financial Professionals, CDFA, Mediator, Therapist, Realtor, Mortgage Broker etc.....please attend and check us out. There is nothing like us in the area currently.

This Month's Program

The Inflation Reduction Act and the Secure Act 2.0
What are the Tax Implications?

There are new legislations that will likely impact your taxes. It is great to know about the changes before you file your taxes. Randy Michel was kind enough to offer this presentation during tax season, to help us make the most of the legislation.

He will share a brief 10-minute discussion about The Secure Act and the Inflation Reduction Act; and the issues that may impact us and help save money on taxes.

I am a CPA with a boutique accounting firm that provides tax and accounting services for individuals, all types of business entities, including corporations, partnerships, LLCs, and sole proprietors, and estates and trusts.

We also work with estate attorneys, trustees and their clients to to establish proper trust accounting records in accordance with the California Probate code.

The best value of working with a CPA is during the months outside of tax season during which I work closely with clients and provide effective tax planning to minimize tax liability and maximize cash flow.

I believe that providing excellent and consistent client service is essential to building and maintaining quality long-term relationships; keeping in touch on a regular basis, anticipating client challenges, responding to client needs quickly and effectively, and always maintaining 100% integrity.

Also, we will go to our breakout rooms. Each of us will tell the others in the breakout room our profession, strengths, and anything else you find interesting. When we return to the main meeting, another person in the breakout group will introduce each of us. Over the years, I have found this to be a great way to get to know each other.

I look forward to another excellent Calabasas meeting this month!
