About Divorce Transition Professionals (DTP)

Why 2.0? Well, after 10 years it is time for a change. A change in location, a change in format and a change in the design. So, we're bringing in a top-notch speaker, holding it in a top-notch location, providing all of the networking and business opportunity you could ask for with some of the best professionals in the community that specialize in working with people dealing with divorce. While this particular meeting may not have all of the following, we expect to provide continuing education, networking, study groups, break-out sessions, case consultations and more......

This event is completely free to all FIRST TIME attendees. It is an opportunity to find out what the Divorce Transition Professionals is all about, what it is about to become and how becoming a member will benefit you. So, if you are a professional in the divorce field i.e. Attorney, Accountant, Financial Professionals, CDFA, Mediator, Therapist, Realtor, Mortgage Broker etc.....please attend and check us out. There is nothing like us in the area currently.

Please arrive at 8:15 a.m. PST if you would like to be included in the pre-meeting break-out rooms for networking

This Month's Program

Matthew J. Cahill, President, Percipio Company

If you have a brain, you have bias!™ Discover how bias plays out in the divorce process.

Description: Cognitive biases reside in the 99+% of how we unconsciously process information in any given moment. Most of the time, they serve us very well. Understanding when they don’t is key to improving our decisions, relationships, and organizations. We introduce a common language that differentiates between various types of bias. Through a process of self-reflection & discovery, we strengthen workplace relationships by identifying the hidden (and not-so-hidden) biases that are impacting decisions made leading up to marriage, when it’s no longer working, and the stigmas that remain from institutionalized social biases.

By the end of the workshop, participants will:

• Deepen their understanding of Unconscious Bias.

• Understand how UB affects interactions & relationships.

• Understand the 5 most common cognitive biases in the workplace.

• Define and deliver mitigation strategies for each.

To get started, please take 4-6 minutes to complete the unconscious bias assessment. We will use the results to accelerate the conceptual overview during the workshop.

- They get the results immediately afterwards and can then email it to themselves after
