At twelve, Rebecca knew she wanted to be a lawyer to make a difference in people’s lives. Rebecca and her law partner, Dinh Luu, carefully chose estate planning and elder law because it’s one of the few areas of law where we can develop life-long relationships with our clients and their families and impact their lives in profound ways.
Many law firms create wills, trusts, advance directives, powers of attorney but few are women owned and do it with the expertise of elder law. We not only create the plans but we administer them all the time. This gives us the superpower of 20/20 hindsight with every client. Our goal is to provide the education each clients needs to form a reality-based plan that will work when needed. Every plan should honor your wishes, avoid court and maintain family harmony. With our life-long program, we can successfully do this with the collaboration of our clients and their advisors.
We treat each client like family with compassion, education, guidance and support. Unlike many others in our industry, we are comprehensive, detailed and outside-of-the-box problem solvers.
Estate Planning becomes Elder Law when we start needing help from others. Elder law includes updating estate planning documents, establishing conservatorships, planning for Medi-Cal and VA Aid & Attendance benefits, preventing elder abuse and providing counsel to families throughout the journey of aging. We also handle trust administration and probate once someone has passed away.
Clients often procrastinate coming to us because they don’t know where to start or are afraid to talk about incapacity and death. We make the process tolerable, if not enjoyable. In the end, our clients feel the peace of mind they’ve craved.
On a personal note, she is the mom to a terrific little girl and is a nature and animal lover. They enjoy time with their horses and cat.
