Doug Huberman earned his BA from UC Irvine in 1977 and received his MA Economics from UC Davis in 1989. Flowing from his years as a Professor of Economics and COO of CNA Enterprises (a $800 million commercial real estate firm), Mr. Huberman’s professional interests cover a broad range of disciplines ranging from investment/turn around consulting to changing the tools and best practices of the residential property management industry to creating the new “Home Management” industry focused on providing real estate services to seniors, single parents and busy executives that are overwhelmed by the responsibilities of home ownership.
Real Estate Services – In 1992, Mr. Huberman left academia and began his commercial real estate career as an entry level financial analyst with CNA Enterprises, Inc. By 1995, Mr. Huberman had been promoted to Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer overseeing the acquisitions, dispositions and daily operations of the firm’s nationwide $800 million portfolio. In 1997, Mr. Huberman founded Rear View Mirror Holdings Inc. -- acquired 5 historic assets in Old Pasadena and began collaborating with large Family Charitable Trusts. Mr. Huberman and his partners have developed multiple mixed-use projects and own assets in Arizona, California, Georgia and Texas.
In 2006 RVM began managing multifamily residential projects and single family homes. In 2016, Lexington PMC (LexingtonPMC.com) was founded to focus exclusively on providing Property Management and Home Management services to the owners of single family homes.
Academia – Following graduate school at UC Davis, Mr. Huberman became an Associate Professor of Economics/Director of Core Curricula at the United States Air Force Academy and Adjunct Professor of Economics at the University of Colorado. Major academic accomplishments include being published/cited in academic journals regarding the United States banking system and the origins of the Great Depression.
Military/Diplomatic – Mr. Huberman is a Major in the USAF Reserves. His 14 year active duty military career included flying assignments in California, Idaho and England, a staff assignment as a liaison to the French, German and British Ministries of Defense, as well as service in Alabama, Texas, Washington, Germany, and Turkey. Mr. Huberman’s military honors include the Air University’s Chief of Staff Trophy, the Air Force Meritorious Service Medal and F-111 Top Gun. In 1984 Mr. Huberman set records for accuracy with conventional ordnance that have never been broken.
Mr. Huberman’s active participation in civic and charitable organizations over the years has included: Vice Chairman of the Pikes Peak Area Council of Government’s Socio-Economic Advisory Committee, co-founder of the Colorado Ski School for the Blind, Patron of the Los Angeles Opera plus Founder and board member of the nation’s second largest free concert series, the Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts in Pasadena. Mr. Huberman is currently an active member of Provisors, a primary supporter of MAPS Charities for disadvantaged seniors and serves on the Diavolo Board of Directors.
