With 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, Don Martin is founder and President of Horizon Advisors, a multi-family office established in 2011.  Using his deep industry knowledge and personal values-based approach, Don leads his client families along the path toward a secure and harmonious financial future. With a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation, Don holds himself accountable to a heightened fiduciary standard and to his commitment to coordinate and synchronize all the key disciplines that help solidify a successful financial life for his families.                                                                                                                    

Serving as Family Officer, Don orchestrates a team of professional advisors that apply innovative financial practices and personal leadership design principles as he guides his families to live lives that have meaning and fulfillment. He implements and coordinates the Family Office structure that provides his families cohesive advice and execution in each key financial discipline.                                                                                                                                 

Having worked in the past for big-name banks such as Wells Fargo, Bank of America and Merrill Lynch, Don has assisted clients in a variety of areas of finance. Once Don observed how families were being underserved by the big Wall St. corporations, there was no turning back on his calling to help people who, despite their hard work, were not getting the fulfillment and satisfaction they wanted. What truly inspired Don was the desire to help people to see what was really possible with their resources and to pursue their purpose.

Don resides today in Westlake Village with his wife of 27 years, Susan, a Human Resources administrator and a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Their son, Kyle, is a sous chef for a local restaurant.                                                                                                                                              

In Don’s free time, he enjoys reading, Spin classes, and volunteering in the community. He is a member of CalCPA, and has served as President for both Rotary Club of Westlake Village Sunrise and Calabasas Toastmasters. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Yarrow Family YMCA in Westlake Village.
