DTP was founded in 2017. Our primary Mission Statement that still holds true today is:
Making Divorce Just a Little Bit Easier™
We believe that this can be accomplished by bringing together amazing professionals all of whom have expertise in the divorce landscape and all of whom understand what it means to collaborate.
At each chapter meeting we bring you a top-notch speaker or program, providing on-going education, and an opportunity to network and collaborate with some of the best divorce professionals in your community. Our meetings are typically an hour. We respect that you are a busy professional and are sure to provide a compelling, productive meeting, the ultimate results of which will meet our goal of supporting folks as they go through divorce and in growing your business, concurrently.

Amy Valdivia
Amy Valdivia is a Certified Divorce Lending Professional (CDLP®) who guides individuals and families through the financial complexities of divorce with clarity and compassion. She understands that the first two questions in any divorce are “Who gets the kids?” and “Who gets the house?” – and while attorneys and mediators focus on parenting plans, Amy focuses on the financial strategies surrounding the home.
As a CDLP®, Amy brings expertise far beyond that of a traditional mortgage lender. She understands the unique complexities of divorce, such as income restructuring, support income qualification, and title or equity distribution, ensuring her clients’ lending decisions are strategic, compliant, and protective of their long-term stability. Her role is not just about securing a mortgage; it’s about aligning lending solutions with divorce settlements so both parties can move forward confidently.
Amy partners with attorneys and mediators to prepare clients for mediation or litigation, uncovering practical and creative options that protect financial security and support future goals. She believes divorce doesn’t have to destroy what you’ve built – it can become a foundation for rebuilding life wisely.
Living by the philosophy of working hard to play hard, Amy dedicates herself fully to her clients while also prioritizing time with her family and contributing meaningfully to her community.
As the Director of Professional Membership at the Divorce Lending Association, she combines her expertise as a Certified Divorce Lending Professional (CDLP®) with her passion for building strong professional communities. In this role, Amy supports and mentors members nationwide, ensuring they have access to the education, resources, and collaborative opportunities needed to confidently serve divorcing homeowners.
