Welcome to the Divorce Transition Professionals (DTP)
DTP was founded in 2017. Our primary Mission Statement that still holds true today is:
Making Divorce Just a Little Bit Easier™
We believe that this can be accomplished by bringing together amazing professionals all of whom have expertise in the divorce landscape and all of whom understand what it means to collaborate.
At each chapter meeting we bring you a top-notch speaker or program, providing on-going education, and an opportunity to network and collaborate with some of the best divorce professionals in your community. Our meetings are typically an hour. We respect that you are a busy professional and are sure to provide a compelling, productive meeting, the ultimate results of which will meet our goal of supporting folks as they go through divorce and in growing your business, concurrently.
This event is completely free to all FIRST-TIME attendees. It is an opportunity to learn more about the Divorce Transition Professionals. If you are a professional with divorce expertise, please check us out.

Understanding the Consequences
of Domestic Violence Restraining Orders
After 26 years as a Judge for the County of Los Angeles, Hon. Daniel P. Ramirez (Ret.) now serves as a private judge, mediator, and arbitrator. His legal career began as an associate at Meyer, Wagner, and Associates, with a practice focusing on personal injury cases. After working in private practice, he then joined the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office. After his first year as a prosecutor, he was assigned to the Hardcore Gang Division where he specialized in homicide cases. For his successful jury trial work, he earned special recognition and letters of commendation from the District Attorney.
In 1994, Judge Ramirez was appointed by Governor Pete Wilson to the Southeast Judicial District in Los Angeles County. While presiding over criminal and civil cases, he took on leadership roles at the court, serving as Assistant Presiding Judge and Presiding Judge. He was later elevated to the Los Angeles Superior Court upon court unification in 2000. His last judicial assignment was in family law where he presided over dissolution cases and domestic violence cases.
Judge Ramirez brings a wealth of experience in presiding over both court and jury trials. In addition, he is a skilled negotiator and was known among his judicial colleagues as the “go-to judge” for case settlements. He has participated in countless mandatory settlement conferences and hundreds of mediations involving family law, personal injury, business litigation, and landlord/tenant matters.
